Week Two of Furlough and Letting My Imagination Run Wild
I was sitting on the back porch the other day, watching a butterfly flutter about and I thought to myself....wouldn't it be fun to open a book and have a bunch of butterflies fly out of it. Well that idea slowly progressed into this project. One thing led to another and before I knew it, I had a magical image that taught me so much. I learned so many new techniques working on this project and absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. I've never done anything like this before and felt it was far beyond my expertise, but I was determined to step outside of my comfort zone during this time off from work and at least try to gain something from the whole experience. When I first started working on this, I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off, but I still tried....and even though there were points throughout the process that I thought I was failing, I didn't give up, and I can honestly say I am very proud of myself for this one. If there is anything that your heart desires....give it a shot. You might fail a few times before you succeed, but you'll learn from the experience and grow from it. Eventually, you'll end up right where you're supposed to be.
