Mannequin Madness—Carnival Edition
The fair is in town and it reminded me that I have a few costumes laying around in my closet that haven't been used yet. A year ago, I was planning to do a circus themed series, but I never got around to it. In a way, I'm glad because the outcome would have been much different, since it was before I found this mannequin. I don't know why I love twisting the reality of this mannequin, but I do! It's just quirky and weird. Which I guess is how I'd probably describe myself, so maybe that's why!
This will be a three piece series, like the original Mannequin Madness, but with a carnival theme. So there's more fun on the way! Plus, someone special from Wonderland will be visiting next weekend. I hope his disappearing act doesn't make him difficult to capture, but I'm sure we'll at least get that great big grin on camera. :)
In the meantime, November is a time to be thankful and I am so thankful to all of you who take the time to read my blog and support what I love. I never thought I'd be lucky enough to find a passion like this. So, as an extra big THANK YOU, I'm offering 40% off everything in my etsy shop. And bonus! Each purchase includes a special surprise. So, if you've been eyeing a print and thinking about adding some artwork to your home, now is a good time! The sale will run through Thanksgiving. After that, my shop will be taking a little break until after Christmas, so purchases will only be available through Art Mecca of Charleston during that time.
Lots of love to you all ~ D.
