New Character for Portraits of Wonderland
A few weeks ago I was sitting on my front porch as the sky lingered between daylight and darkness, when a small bat flew from our roof line and happily danced about the sky. I think he might have made a home with us because since then, I have seen two little bats flying from our roof at twilight every evening. I don't mind because they keep the mosquitos at bay, which I'm grateful for, and I actually think they're kind of cute, so welcome home little bats!
Since that night, I have been singing this song and can't seem to get it out of my head. After a few days, this strange image began to form in my mind. Even though it's not technically a character from Alice in Wonderland, I still think it fits in this series. After all, this is my own unique version of Wonderland and you never know who might pop by for a portrait session next. Hopefully, the Mad Hatter will stop by for a visit soon!
Until next time, embrace your inner weirdness and enjoy all the oddities that life can bring. Lots of love to you all. ~ D.
